About Us
Tracing our history back to 1954, the Smart Energy Council is the independent peak industry body representing Australias renewable energy, energy storage, electric vehicle and renewable hydrogen industries.
We are strong advocates for a rapid transition to a zero emissions economy. We have an excellent public profile, work collaboratively with governments at state and federal level, and are bold campaigners for change.
We believe there are fantastic business and economic benefits in combating climate change and reducing emissions. Every day we support around 1,000 member companies that are helping homes and businesses take real climate action.
Among other things we run the annual Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition attracting over 6,500 delegates, publish the Smart Energy magazine, and run a busy program of training and industry development events.
Together, we put energy into action.
