Job Description
Working closely with the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the daily management of Finance Operations Team, and their respective reporting requirements. This covers the execution of routine accounting tasks, as well as commercial and operational stakeholder support, and the ability to influence strategic decision making. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and monthly consolidated reporting, as well as oversight of inventory accounting, tax submissions and audit requirements as they arise. You will play an important role in the development of the finance team as a Strategic support function, implementing best practice processes and any other tasks that require attention. Key support and future successor to the Finance Director.
The Successful Applicant
- CA / CPA qualified
- Ideal Background: A combination of Chartered / Audit experience with month end accounting and reporting in an inventory-lead Commerce and Industry business, looking to take the next step in a leadership role. Ability to make financial presentations and influence senior stakeholders / decision making.
- Technical Skills: Strong accounting skill set including month-end reporting, audit, taxation and inventory accounting. Management of Transactional (AP/AR) Finance team and oversight of a payroll function.
- Behavioural Attributes: Strong communication and stakeholder management experience is mandatory. Staff management experience is required, and the ability to demonstrate building strong working relationships.
