We call it human forward.Our Federal Government client is seeking a suitably qualified APS6 Project Officer working to work within the Vaccine Operations and Data Division (VODD). The Vaccine Operations and Data Division (VODD) has been established to monitor, manage, and coordinate the National COVID-19 Vaccine Program, by ensuring simple, efficient and transparent delivery of vaccines to the Australian population.Role Benefits:

Role Responsibilities:The Vaccine Logistics and Operations Branch oversees the enabling functions for the safe storage and administration and successful distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to each of the vaccination channels. We provide a wide range of support to the Australian COVID-19 vaccine rollout. These activities include:
- This division is the main coordination point for the Program with Commonwealth contracted Logistics Providers to ensure the distribution of vaccines and consumables in accordance with supply chain & logistical requirements and constraints.
- Coordinating and managing orders and deliveries of the COVID-19 vaccine and associated consumables through the Programs COVID-19 Vaccine Administrative System (CVAS).
- Generating a suite of ordering and delivery reports for the Executive and performing a comprehensive reconciliation activity to ensure all vaccine and consumables orders are received by logistics providers for delivery on time and in accordance with requirements.
- Providing the Programs primary contact point for vaccination administrators to capture, triage and resolve clinical, logistical, system, ordering and administration issues, incidents, and queries through the Programs VOC Issues Management System (VIMS).
- Supporting vaccine administrators and logistics providers to deliver safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines by assessing all potential cold chain breaches, providing advice on vaccine administration errors, responding to clinical enquiries, and advising on the safe storage and transport of vaccines nationally and overseas.
- Project management of ongoing operational support and enhancements of CVAS and VIMS enabling systems, plan and coordinate the delivery of project and program deliverables, using business analysis techniques and change management strategies to support systems and program change.
- Managing enabling functions including recruitment, staff scheduling, communications, social activities and maintenance of standard operating processes, procedures, risk, and issue response plans.
Notable Role Tasks:
- Manage project and coordination activities, including Secretariat and governance related tasks.
- Develop and manage project plans, including project reporting, identification and management of project risks, issues, and benefits.
- Develop and support complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project deliverable objectives and achieve quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational, policy and procedures related to the National COVID Vaccine Program and change initiatives, report on the achievement of business outcomes and contribute to quality outcomes.
- Draft and prepare and/or review a range of written material such as project artifacts, process maps, detailed requirements documentation, plans, reports, Executive briefs, presentations, Minutes, and design artifacts, or provide data/analysis to assist with the development of project deliverables.
- Take accountability for tasks and decisions, including responsibility for the development of colleagues in achieving their goals through coaching, performance feedback and modeling good leadership behaviors. Set priorities for the work area, supervise the team, maintaining cohesion and ensuring quality outputs.
- Work independently with limited guidance, with direction from senior staff or subject matter experts on more complex or difficult issues, and escalate as needed.
- Develop, deliver, coordinate, plan and assess training programs.
- Duties as directed to support the program, including procedural, clerical, administrative support and/or operational tasks.
