Randstad are proud to currently be partnering with large Federal Government and State Government Departments in recruiting for Correspondence Officers to join their high performing teams. These roles are based in Brisbane CBD for an initial 3-6 month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
You will provide efficient and effective support by performing a range of administrative support duties in a timely, accurate and confidential manner. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in correspondence management, administration, business support and records management in hand with an ability to prioritise competing workload
Your new role
As a Correspondence Officer your duties will be tasks including but not limited to
...
- Assigning, tracking, monitoring and tracking all incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Examine incoming correspondence, papers and reports to determine action and priorities
and where appropriate prepare replies for consideration.
- Maintaining an effective records management system and managing computerised databases
- Analysis and interpretation of information referring back to the departments policies and procedures
- Proven clerical and administrative skills of a high standard including the use of Microsoft
programs (excel, word, access, PowerPoint), electronic databases, record and diary
management systems.
- Provide effective administrative and program support, including but not limited to the
production of high-quality documents, enquiry screening and diary management.
- Produce reports and undertake statistical analysis on timeliness and quality of
correspondence.
What will you need to be successful in this role
To be considered for this role you would have skills & experience in the following to be successful:
- - Dealing with sensitive and confidential documents
- Achieve results with minimal supervision
- Have an extremely high level of attention to detail
The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, confident and have demonstrated experience in the following areas
- Previous experience within a similar role is required
- Public sector experience is essential - either State or Federal Government
- Decision-making and finding outcomes for complex matters
- The ability to work in a high volume data entry role
- Management of confidential and sensitive information
- Data entry skills with the ability to quickly and accurately enter data into systems
- High attention to detail across various administrative tasks
- The ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders
- High performance working in both autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
