The Role:
We are looking for energetic and experienced Hydrostatic Testing & Flange Management technicians to join our team for an immediate start. The project is located in the Bunbury area, Western Australia and is expected to last between 6-12 weeks. We provide shared accommodation for non-resident employees as well as transport to and from Perth and site, and inter-state travel if required.
In order to be considered for the role you will have the following skill set:The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the pressure testing, pipe cleaning and flange management industry.Be able to determine from drawings and work packs the correct test pressure and choose the correct test gauge.Able to perform pressure testing of pipes and vessels to expose effective materials that may have been missed during prior inspections. Ensure that any remaining defects are insignificant enough to allow operation at design pressures, expose possible leaks and serve as a final validation of the integrity of the system.The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details involving written or oral instructions as well as the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.Operate, observe and read pressure and temperature gauges and charts.Read and understand Isometric Drawings and have the ability to identify issues with ISO and package structure.Have an understanding of ASME codes.Assess own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.
