Job summary
Koch Australia is seeking a Territory Sales Manager role for the Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Oceania region at its offices in Parramatta, NSW.The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated and results oriented individual with proven sales experience in a similar field. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for sales of Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) products, services, and solutions in their assigned territory for the Equipment, Technology and Services (ET&S) group. The KES ET&S portfolio covers the brands of John Zink Hamworthy Combustion, Koch-Glitsch, Koch Heat Transfer and Koch Specialty Plant Services.
The ideal Territory Sales Manager candidate will have the technical capability to understand our customers needs and to recommend/provide a one source solution to our customer from KESs portfolio of products and services. Target customers will be in the LNG processing, ammonia, refining, petrochemical, power generation, and mining sectors amongst others. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated ability to grow regional sales, identify new markets and areas for growth, help define product development needs and develop relationships with all key customers, such as end-users, engineers, consultants, OEMs and EPCs.
The Territory Sales Manager should possess skills to identify business opportunities, present the client with solutions to their problems and close a deal. The candidate must understand and manage commercial and technical risks. We are looking for a result-oriented Sales Professional who excels in teamwork with demonstrated integrity, customer focus and the ability to embrace change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:Build and maintain long-term profitable relationships with our customers at all levels of an organization.Preparation of technical and commercial proposals within a given time frame.Qualify inquiries, suggest and execute strategies to get orders.Provide technical solutions that create win-win outcomes for KES and our customers.Assists the business groups and / or order execution teams to solve any technical, commercial or financial issues. Participate and lead bid approvals, work with internal legal and business teams on reviewing terms and conditions, financial instruments and commercial discussions prior to submitting proposals.Actively maintain updates / reporting using the CRM tool. Work closely with regional technical engineering teams in Singapore, China, Japan, and South Korea, together with global technical engineering teams in the USA, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, and India for the development of technical proposals and project execution.Obtain schedule updates and track turnarounds at our customers facilities. Complete timely pre-turnaround inspections on KES equipment.Conduct Combustion Surveys for KES Burner, Flare, Thermal Oxidizer and Vapour Combustion/Recovery equipment in your assigned territory.
What You Will Need:Engineering degree (Chemical / Mechanical) with 5 - 7 years relevant experience in a similar position.Proficiency in English Language.Excellent communication skills.Organization skills and ability for multitasking in a fast-paced work environment.Strong personal and networking skills.Customer-focused.Pro-active attitude and a self-starter.Effective team player who works well in multidisciplinary teams.Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time on an ongoing basis.
What Will Put You Ahead?Demonstrated and proven sales experience with an OEM / EPC / End-user.Experience with process equipment (burners, flares, thermal oxidizes, mass transfer, phase separation equipment, heat exchangers) is a strong asset.Prior experience working in or familiarity with being in a process plant environment is an advantage.Familiarity with Australian standards AS 3814 and/or AS 2593 is an advantage.Good Technical ability to understand specifications, process flows, P&IDs.
