- Conduct conveyancing for the sale and purchase of department properties, repossessions and shared equity properties in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and practices.
- Manage high workloads and competing priorities to ensure all conveyancing and financial requirements are satisfied within required time-frames
- Utilise effective communication and problem-solving skills to resolve complex contractual issues
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of cross-cultural protocols and departmental policies to consult, negotiate and communicate with staff, stakeholders, and clients effectively and sensitively.
- Deal in a confidential and professional manner in performing work duties when handling personal, and sensitive material, as outlined in the Code of Conduct.
- Monitor, review and update letters and forms to ensure they meet the current legal requirements and naming conventions and the units work practices and processes aimed to improve ongoing internal processes and systems.
- Maintain and look for opportunities to improve office information and records systems to ensure that matters are properly progressed and completed in line with the Departments record keeping policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Research and analyse information and prepare correspondence and reports for Management team, Finance team, Rates and Body Corporate team, clients and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Regional Portfolio Renewal business units to ensure effective processes and procedures are maintained for successful completion of disposal and acquisition matters . Ensure due diligence has been conducted and reviewed and a report completed within contract time-frames for all properties purchased by the Department.
- Prepare contracts and conduct the conveyancing for the sale and initiation of the departments shared equity properties and repossession sales.
- Liaise with external law firms on the Departments requirements for conveyancing processes to ensure they adhere to Department's policies and procedures.
- Ensure the banking is completed each day and other financial requirements are completed by the due date.
