Randstad is currently partnered with a Geelong based client seeking a Senior Accountant / Accountant for their next opportunity.
Your new role:
Contract with opportunity to extend permanently.
Responsibilities include:

- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance reports.
- Conduct internal audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide financial analysis and support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Stay updated with accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
What youll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
