A true generalist role, you will be responsible for providing high quality, responsive and timely contracts lifecycle advice, support and consultancy services to leaders across our defence Australia and New Zealand Operations.

This position will be open to working from home,with travel required to Sale, Victoria from time-to-time.
Role Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:Under the direction of program leads, act as the Customer (Defence/OEMs/Principles/Contractors) contact for related matters on contracts within Defence. Working in conjunction with the General Managers (or Vice President in case of new contracts or bid response) of respective programs;Proactively provide regular updates on contracts management matters and programme performance.Provide regular updates on all activities including relevant status/delays/critical issues.Provide response to customer queries, feedback or complaints, liaising with relevant stakeholders to maintain customer success management.Provide strategic and tactical advise on sustainment and business development activities in respect of achieving optimal outcomes for the business.Under general/limited direction of manager and our program leaders, act as the customer (Defence/OEMs/Principles/Contractors) contact for related matters on contracts within JET Aviation Defence. Proactively provide regular updates on contracts management matters and program performance and contract activities through accurate and timely reporting.Provide strategic and tactical advice on sustainment and business development activities. In conjunction with senior leadership, negotiate terms with customers and suppliers aligned to compliance to attain mutually beneficial outcomes for the company. Coordinating, administering and reporting on contracts and agreements with aircraft and aviation equipment and product OEMs and Product Principles relating to services or other needs as required for the Defence Team.Ensure overall compliance and be comfortable with drafting terms, obligations, service deliverables and nature of contracts and agreements with monitoring and regular updates and performance.Management of reporting including administration of CCPs, APVs and Risk Analysis as required.Coordinating an appropriately export control capability including ITAR/EAR.Coordinating, administration and management of contractual agreements including but not limited to; subcontractor, CA, NDAs and ITAR TAAs.Other duties, as may be directed by your supervisor from time-to-time. High energy and performance as a resourceful leader with the capability to quickly take control of responsibilities and establish as a credible Contracts Advisor.Conflict resolution and management skills as well as strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening).Interpersonal and team leadership skills with the ability to interface with a wide range of personnel at all levels internal and external to the company.Partnering with management to develop and drive best practice change management.Leverages metrics analysis and own professional insights, to accurately interpret and make informed recommendations, and for escalation as appropriate.Develop thorough knowledge, understanding and utilisation of company Human Resource Information Systems.Ensure all corporate information is captured within company business systems adhering to recordkeeping procedures and workplace protocols.What will help you to succeed?Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Contract Management, Commerce, Law, etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant commercial experience (Defence highly advantageous).Seasoned contract management experience working with contract development, management and closure - commercially minded, with strong negotiation and dispute resolution ability.Demonstrated experience working within medium to large organisation's and/or matrix structures. Demonstrated experience in the identification of cost drivers and cost analysis under commercial agreements. Experience developing contract terms, conditions, and identifying associated commercial risk as they relate to work scope and other documentation, with a balanced commercial approach.Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and competing priorities within tight deadlines. Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefs, updates and other documentation to internal and external stakeholders.Holding, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence Force Security Clearance (which may be required up to an NV2 Level to be determined by the Company).
