- Carry out all tasks in a safe manner and comply with applicable policies, plans and procedures, standards
- Have a clear understanding for planning of shot firing, proven experience and a focus to safety
- Lead by example by providing visible and credible direction to achieve a safe and achievement oriented approach to work;
- Identify and communicate risks associated with health and safety as well as environmental impacts;
- Take personal accountability for your performance and behaviour in the team.
- Communicate to the appropriate person all the known hazards in your work areas prior to commencing work.
- Identify performance problems and work with D&B Supervisor, Shot firer and Team Leader to solve them.

Tasks to be carried out.

- Accurately temperature logging of blast holes, benches and surrounding areas for heating from spontaneous combustion, and recording these temperatures
- Lead Bench hands and give clear guidance
- Assist when needed to accurately measuring blast hole depths, and recording these depths to allow D&B Engineers to develop load sheets

The successful candidates must have:

- Previous Shot firer/bench hand experience
- Hold a Shot firing licence
- Present a clear National Police Check
- Dangerous good's licence
- Strong attitude to safety
- 3 Years Minimum Exposure in a mining & service environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Positive "Can Do" attitude

You must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical examination and instant drug and alcohol testing, to commence this assignment.
