Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Communicating commercial, statutory and business information to the CEO, Board and investors;
- Overseeing the group budget and forecasting process in collaboration with relevant global stakeholders;
- Contributing to the execution of strategic acquisitions from initial screening through to integration;
- Oversight of consolidated statutory and management reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and cashflow reporting and management;
- Strategically managing currency positions and exchange rate sensitivities, ensuring enterprise-wide visibility of FX exposure;
- Driving a company-wide focus on financial performance and optimum commercial outcomes;
- Developing strong relationships with the CEO, Board, international teams and investors.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role, you will have previously been a part of a senior leadership team, with a proven track record of success leading a finance and commercial team in a medium to large professional services/project management (or related) organisation. Due to the multiple projects and offices based overseas, experience working as a CFO, or equivalent, with a global remit is highly advantageous.
You will be an open communicator and have the ability to lead, develop and empower others. You will have previous experience successfully building and maintaining relationships at a senior level, while having demonstrated experience engaging and communicating with local and internationally based non-financial stakeholders.
You must have a superior commercial acumen, which you can apply effectively to drive business growth. This, combined with the ability to build a finance function which efficiently supports a growing global business, are core elements for this role.
Ideally, you will have a relevant professional qualification (CA/CPA), or equivalent significant prior experience in overseeing the work of technical accounting specialists.
What's on Offer
An attractive salary package with lucrative bonus structure is available for this role. The company also offers a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, health and wellness contributions, and private health insurance subsidies. This is a rare opportunity to join an industry leader based in Brisbane with operations and projects spanning across the globe.
