Job Description
Reporting to the QLD Sales Manager East, key responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all after sales enquiries are managed in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with existing customers with product support and trouble shooting
- Provide technical advice and assistance to all customers within region of coverage
- Carry out regular visits to sites to follow up on all Austin Engineering products supplied to customers and respond to warranty issues
- Travel long distances to see clients on site
- Work with the sales staff to develop new and innovative ways to improve estimating accuracy
- Ensure all relevant department managers are informed of any customer issues
- Provide internal recommendations on product improvements from customer feedback
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Boilermaking trade qualifications, welding quality or relevant engineering degree qualified essential.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience working with mining attachment products, specifications and performance, preferably directly within Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet.
- Experience with Microsoft software packages desirable.
- Knowledge of contemporary trends and issues within the mining industry.
- Experience in sales & marketing essential, estimating and quoting favourable.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide exemplary customer service.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
