We have expanded our education offerings to a senior high school program for year 10, 11 and 12 students. Our Year 11 and 12 students undertake the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The IB Diploma Programme curriculum holistically develops the whole student balancing academic subjects with student led personal development through the CAS programme of creativity, activity and service and an individual research project which prepares students for university level study, all part of strengthening the students skills as responsible, independent learners.
The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to provide administrative support, and facilitate the provision of resources and support services, to ensure the efficient operation of the organisations facilities, in a timely and professional manner reflecting IES College.
Key Responsibility:
You will apply your skills, knowledge and procedurally driven mindset to your work, with your key focus being the following: Monitor operational performance, and attend to the preventative maintenance and repair, of IES equipment and facilities.Facilitate the provision of operational and facility-related resources, in consultation with relevant and affected stakeholders, both internally and externally.Advise affected stakeholders of building maintenance and upcoming projects, including relevant safety precautions.Consult with the Corporate Services Manager regarding operational and capital expenditure.Maintain the currency of compliance and facilities records.Assist with the continuous improvement and implementation of the Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Management System, including the fire safety system, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.Conduct site-specific inductions for contractors and regular visitors, including currency checks and maintenance of internal contractor records.Conduct weekly, visual inspection of facilities and annual WHS audit.Undertake any other duties, as directed by the Corporate Services Manager.
Qualifications and Experience required:Facilities based administration experience, with a working knowledge of building operationsCertificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (desirable)Fire Safety Advisor (desirable)First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Requirements:Must have a blue card prior to starting at IES
