job detailsAre you looking for a new Senior Payroll Officer opportunity? This is a newly created Senior Payroll Officer role working within a growing ASX listed business services organisation. This full time permanent role will be based in Sydney CBD and offers flexible working arrangements from the office and home. You will be part of a 6+ person payroll team reporting into the head of Payroll Operations. You will focus on outsource payroll services for a range of different clients across multiple industries including health care, NFP, government, etc. Ideally you will have end to end payroll processing knowledge and experience working in an outsourced environment. ...
Key responsibilities of the role:
- End to end payroll processing on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis.
- Assist with month end & GL reconciliations.
- Interpret relevant industry awards for the client and understand various industrial agreements.
- Engage with clients to go over any queries they may have or discuss specific feedback on service satisfaction.
- Checking and reviewing other team member's work and supporting payroll Officers with their processing.
Desired skills & experience:
- Ideally have at least 3+ years end to end processing experience
- Preferably worked with an outsourcing environment, understanding how to work with multiple clients at one time. However, this is not essential.
- Ideally has experience interpreting and understanding different awards and EBAs
- Has worked with a range of payroll systems and is tech savvy.
- Proven experience working in a high volume processing environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
