About ABC Entertainment & Specialist
The Entertainment & Specialist team brings together the ABCs drama, comedy, Indigenous, music, childrens, entertainment and factual content across television, radio and digital products and services, such as iview, ABC listen and associated websites, apps and podcasts. The team includes the specialist genres of arts, science, education, religion and ethics. Entertainment & Specialist develops, produces, acquires and distributes Australian stories across ABC TV, ABC Kids, ABC ME the national networks of ABC Radio, ABC online and audio and video apps, to inform, educate and entertain all Australians.
This content reflects Australias culture and community, generating national conversations and empowering the public to contribute to our national identity.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Playschool team, creating and delivering engaging and original content across digital and linear platforms. Under the general direction of the Series Producer, the role will include; Producing engaging original content for ABC digital and social platforms guided by social media trends to amplify Play Schools presence on these platforms. Generating original story ideas for a targeted preschool audience. Producing and working with talent, guests and children on field shoots and in studio. Implementing Rights Management compliance eg. stock footage, RFDs, release forms, permits, music cue sheets.
About You
You have experience in all areas of production, including studio and field production with expereince creating original video content for digital platforms. Your skills also include; Awareness of trends and conventions of social media, and an ability to develop and produce high impact digital content throughout production. Well-developed communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment. Accomplished planning and organisational skills with a sound knowledge of content licensing and rights management.
