My client is an independently owned business who provide storage and shelving solutions for their customers. Their products are made of high -grade steel that are designed to last. Based in the South- Western suburbs, they are looking for an experienced warehouse assistant who has potential to take on leadership within the warehouse.
Located in the inner southern suburbs of Adelaide, they value their staff and promote development and pathways for success to retain longevity within their team.
THE ROLE
This is a senior position within the Company, responsible for the smooth running of the warehouse and oversees staff to ensure smooth operations and functions.
Reporting to the Logistica Manager, responsibilities would include (but not limited to)

- Supervising daily runnings of the warehouse, including leading a small team
- Assigning delivery vehicle pickups at cost effective rates
- Checking and reporting of damage to stock
- Checking of supply and costing accuracy with orders placed
- Accurate and timely recording of inwards stock into computer system
- Processing of documentation for forwarding to the Accounts Department
- Organising transport for orders to be delivered to customers expectations.
Despatch of goods including.
- Supervision of accurate picking of stock
- Ensuring all preparatory work is complete on time within the time frames set
- Assigning of delivery vehicles for site delivery at cost effective rates
- Ordering and placement of third party stock
Skills and experience should include
- Demonstrated experience within warehouse operations
- Forklift licence preferred
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
- Excellent customer service with demonstrated experience in verbal and written communication
- Ability to use judgement to making quality decisions under pressure
- Ability to meet deadlines and process of handling conflicting priorities
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
