About the Role
Reporting to and providing strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager Student Experience forms a key member of the South West TAFE executive team. Accountable for the end-to-end student lifecycle, from student recruitment, school engagement, enrolment and on-boarding, the Executive Manager Student Experience will continue to bring a contemporary approach to the changing needs of the student, ensuring a high level of satisfaction / experience is maintained. Leading the development and implementation of leading-edge student and stakeholder engagement strategies, you will ensure a exemplary student and client centric model of customer service across all touchpoints.
Industry collaboration is a key focus of this portfolio and the Executive Manager, Student Experience will be the key point of communication for regional initiatives of the Institute, liaising extensively with educational partners, industry, business and community representatives to deliver upon the current and emerging employment needs of the region. The Executive Manager and their team will leverage these partnerships to manage the Skills and Jobs Centre in accordance with the Minister of Education's expectations.
Leading a multi-disciplinary team of nine across multiple sites, you will provide empowering leadership, driving a positive high-performance culture and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes for students and the organisation.
About You
To be considered for this exciting executive role in a beautiful part of Victoria, we are seeking a charismatic executive leader who demonstrates strong business acumen and an innovative and continuous improvement mindset. You bring a proven track record of leading "best practice" change (focussed on the student or customer experience) via a collaborative approach that brings your team and the organisation along on the journey.
Possessing high EQ and exemplary stakeholder engagement skills, you are known to effectively collaborate, communicate and interact with your internal and external stakeholders, forging on-going relationships to drive mutually beneficial outcomes for your organisation. For South West TAFE this will include (but not be limited to) pathways from education to employment.
While beneficial, you don't need to come from education, however we are seeking a high level of political nous and senior management or executive leadership proficiency coupled with experience working in large complex customer focused organisations that require high levels of political sensitivity. Previous experience presenting to a board will be held in high regard.
