Our client is a leading professional services and investment management company, with operations across various countries. Their professionals work collaboratively to provide expert property and investment advice to clients. With over $4 billion annual revenue and close to $100 billion of assets under management, the business has the opportunity to invest in their Industrial Advisory division to create this new position in Melbourne.

The opportunity

Reporting to the National Director, you will play a crucial role in the industrial advisory team. You will be responsible for delivering projects from $30-$50 million, ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner, to budget, to the design brief and to a high standard. This position is challenging with a high level of analysis, proactive thinking, planning, responsibility and autonomy.

Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for the delivery of large-scale industrial projects for the full development lifecycle from inception to completion working with both Developers/Landlords and Occupiers/Tenants
- Assist with obtaining or monitoring the progress of all required local authority approvals including satisfaction of all conditions precedent outlined within an AFL or D&C building contract (if applicable).
- Ensure conformance to project performance brief/ specifications, drawings, local authority approvals (including discharge of development consent conditions), development program, NCC standards and project quality standards.
- Work closely with our clients to optimise outcomes and add value through a vigorous design and value management process including identification of key elements to reduce costs, increase financial outcomes, improve operational functionality and optimize efficient space utilization.
- Manage clients budgets and 3rd party consultant claims and contractor progress claims (if applicable) to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting and to ensure that the project scope is delivered within pre-determined budgets.

Experience & Qualifications

- 5-10 years industrial project management experience, ideally within property developer, D&C contractor or consultancy.
- Degree qualifications in construction, project management or another related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated project management skills, effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities
- Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and Safety in Design process relating to the construction, operation and occupation of the Industrial facilities.
