The role
Reporting to the Gallery Director of the Monash Gallery of Art (MGA), the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a significant role within the MGA. You will be supporting the development and implementation of a rebranding strategy to facilitate an exciting transition of MGA into its new identity as the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh)
Duties:
- Assist with the development of a marketing and communications strategy that supports MGAs transition to MAPh
- Actively manage MGAs current and future social channels in line with Councils Social Media Policy
- Deliver monthly reports to accurately capture the effectiveness of all marketing activities
- Delivery of website content to ensure it engages effectively with core target audiences
- Draft and coordinate social media posts and content (Facebook, Instagram, twitter), eDMs content and distribution, and all MGA collateral
- Draft and coordinate retail e-commerce posts to drive retail income
- Support the development and delivery of digital marketing and engagement strategies
- Event support within MGA

Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist who is a strategic thinker with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills. You will also demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualification in business, strategy, marketing or related discipline
- Further qualifications/certification in digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads and/or Facebook Blueprint preferred
- Experience delivering re-branding, marketing and/or communications strategies for an arts organisation or within the wider creative industry
- Experience connected to the website creation process, digital applications, website analytics tools (google analytics), website performance management and marketing automation (MA)
- Hands on skills working with an e-commerce platform such as Shopify/ Magento/ BigCommerce
