Job Description
Reporting to the Group Data & Analytics Head, as a Senior Data Architect, you will engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and will be a key driver in the creation & implementation of a group-wide strategy for data architecture through effective planning, design, and implementation. Responsibility to both design and embed the target group data architecture.
- As a senior leader within the group's Data & Analytics function, you will be responsible for implementing the data architecture strategy across multiple business hubs in order to meet the Group's objectives.
- Be involved in simplifying, standardizing, and increasing interoperability and flexibility in the data architecture.
- Identifying and delivering relevant Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that inform the technological choices and tools that are relevant for the Data & Analytics landscape.
- Ensuring the data architecture aligns with business use cases through collaboration with various teams, including Digital squads, Product Owners and Managers, IT Business partners, and Group Architecture. Responsible for implementing the overall data architecture strategy
- Developing and operating modern data architecture approaches to meet key business objectives and provide end-to-end data solutions
- Advocating for seamlessly incorporating data quality into your day-to-day work as well as into the delivery process
The Successful Applicant
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial context with a deep understanding of data models, standards, and tools used in architecture and engineering
- Experience as a lead Data Architect within a large, complex organization
- Understanding of master data governance frameworks, tooling, and deliverables
- Strong knowledge of data flows, data analysis, and data profiling
- Strong skills in data modeling and database design
- Knowledge of established and emerging technologies such as databases, predictive analytics, and data visualization, as well as global data management systems and interfaces, standards, and roadmaps
- Experience with secure development frameworks, engineering operating models, and cloud engineering, ideally on Azure
- Experience in architecting data platforms
