Reporting to the Directors, Case Management, this team leadership position is accountable for undertaking complex work which is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents. With delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities, the role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking end to end case management activities, subject to appropriate line manager input.
- Resolving matters through case management of applications in relation to the necessary Act and analysing matters to identify and develop options for early resolution.
- Applying alternate dispute resolution methods and advocacy skills to resolving applications/reviews.
- Preparing case documents and appearing at Conferences for Conciliation and Hearings.
- Preparing and maintaining electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.
Ideally you will possess:
- An ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities and environment, adjusting effectively and collaborating with others to ensure successful outcomes.
- Effective leadership skills to establish action plans for the successful completion of work efficiently and on time by setting priorities and leveraging resources with defined timelines.
- Supporting and coaching individuals in the team to develop trust and maximise knowledge, skills and a commitment to the action plan for successful outcomes.
- Defined technical skills and professional knowledge in position related areas, with an ability to keep up with current developments and trends in an area of expertise to accomplish sound results.
