Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Australia & New Zealand, the role has primary responsibility for a range of taxation and associated administrative tasks in Australia and New Zealand; departmental budgeting and contract administration, and other administrative tasks. Responsibilities include administration and payment of land tax and council rates in Australia; preparing annual dividend and interest returns; administration of the Australian Business Register, and other tax portals; taxation payments; preparing departmental budgets and administration of contracts, payments, and records; reconciliation of accounts; identifying and managing controls risks; and identify opportunities to improve processes managed by this position.
The Successful Applicant
The role will suit candidates with an accounting or bookkeeping background, attention to detail, and ability to meet lodgment and administrative deadlines. Whilst not essential, previous exposure to taxation or taxation systems would be beneficial.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in professional practice; a similar commercial role; or with a revenue authority. Relevant diploma or undergraduate qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping required. Strong EXCEL skills required. Previous experience with SAP and/or financial or taxation systems; interest and exposure to data analytics would be beneficial. We seek candidates who are self-motivated; able to work independently and/or as part of a larger team; who are resilient; who positively embrace challenges and are able to manage change; and can provide timely and insightful practical advice to our internal and external stakeholders.
