We are working with a State Government department whose primary objective is to design, plan, build and operate Victorias transport system for all users. They are based in the CBD and offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement with a preference of staff working 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home. This specific division is responsible for the management and oversight of the States metro train franchise agreement for the delivery of safe, reliable, and customer-focussed rail services in Melbourne. This team leads contract governance, strategically assesses and manages risks to contract delivery.
About The Role
You will be working within a newly created branch which manages commercial claims from the franchisee and ensures contract incentives and abatements are assessed and validated. This team is tasked with providing program oversight of the significant network and associated commercial changes brought about by the Metro Tunnel Project. To achieve long-term success, the team will be required to engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high quality interface, contract, program and risk analysis to ensure the best value for money process for the State with optimal operational and commercial efficiencies. You would be reporting to the Associate Director and be required to offer effective prioritisation, task management, and strong verbal and written skills. You would be the primary point of co-ordination for the Metro Tunnel Project and through this be a people leader, and have the ability to generate effective working relationships. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Effective Program Management & Administration, providing specialist program management expertise;
- Manage and maintain electronic records and help to navigate the use of document management databases (TeamBinder, SharePoint & TRIM)
- Establish strong relationships and build mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders;
- Contribute to business improvement around governance and reporting processes;
- Develop quality reporting for the purposes of updating senior management on the status of the Franchisees readiness activities.
