Job Description
Toll Grocery division is searching for a 4 x Transport Supervisors to support our partnership with Woolworths in our brand new operation in Erskine Park, Sydney. In this role, you will be supporting grocery delivery throughout the Sydney basin and will be responsible for managing customer relations by ensuring Toll drivers and operations staff are exceeding standards and KPI's.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, these positions will work on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotating roster, with two roles on the AM shift (4am - 4pm) and two roles working the PM shift (4pm - 4am).
The incumbents will be responsible for overall resource and labour planning to meet customer requirements. This role is a fantastic entry point into Toll Group and will be a great fit for someone who is hungry to cross train and progress in their career.
As the Transport Supervisor, you will: Plan and manage labour to meet the day to day service level targets, and exceed customer expectations. Champion safety and ensure all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements. Promote a customer first mindset and ensure the daily operation is maximising profitability by linking management goals with practical means of achievement. Be a team focused player and assist others with their objectives, including developing junior staff.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years in fleet and driver management within the transport industry. Strong history in safety and compliance in order to communicate regulations and ensure a high service standard. Excellent customer service skills, with a customer first mindset Qualification in Transport/Logistics highly regarded but not essential.
