Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for:
- Overseeing GST monthly returns, FBT yearly return & reconciliation records associated with FBT activities.
- Co-ordinate and manage all taxation matters to ensure that legal and company requirements are adhered to.
- Oversee and assist with the preparation of financial data required for the submission to statutory bodies such as Australian Bureau of Statistics, Australian Taxation Office and State Revenue Offices.
- Liaison with external auditors, coordinate all reviews and close off the statutory audit
- Responsible for enforcing the internal controls and procedures required to safeguard the company assets, receivables, cash management, master data and Finance System and Legal Regulatory and tax requirements.
- Manage daily cash flows, bank reconciliation and day to day accounting transactions.
- Ensure accurate & timely preparation and review of management / legal P&L, department costs and balance sheet monthly/quarterly/yearly. Account analysis of all balance sheet accounts.
- Undertake Project feasibility studies
- Review irregularity and post payroll JV.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have:
- Degree qualification Bachelor of Business in Accounting/Finance
- CPA or CA Qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 8 years work experience in a senior accounting position with at least 3 years of auditing experience
- Good working knowledge of local statutory tax rules
- Computer software knowledge and skills - Advanced Excel skill and Microsoft Office experience, SAP knowledge is required
