About the role:
As a Senior Supervisor looking after the civils team, you will supervise field construction for multiple work areas, including organisation, planning, and scheduling of self-performed and subcontracted activities to complete the work to the required standard. Participate in planning future requirements including machine tools, ancillary equipment, major plant, and labour Plan and monitor works to ensure compliance with relevant WHS, Environmental and Quality procedures and specifications. Work with Engineers to develop effective construction programs. Ability to develop a short-term section/ trade program, including resource allocation. Conducting effective team and subcontractor meetings (such as pre-starts, toolbox talks, zone, construction planning, etc). Maintains effective white board or similar for upcoming works. Ownership of the productive management of works under direct control and report regularly to the Project Manager/ Superintendent. Supervise subcontract packages and ensure compliance with defined scope Accurate completion of Daily Diary and other relevant Forms using tablet applications to assist in identifying potential claims (variations/ ET) and productivity costings
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects; Roads, bridges, rail, ect. Experience managing large civil construction activities across a variety of trades/ disciplines. Working knowledge of Quality, IR, HR and other relevant legislation, standards and Company policies and procedures. Experience mentoring and training leading hands and construction workers. Understanding of client specifications and ability to monitor IT's for all trades Certificate IIl, Certificate IV, trade qualifications or have substantial advancement towards achievement.
