source signalling professionals from around the globe. As part of this major recruitment drive we are
looking to identify multiple Signalling Design Engineers for their Major Projects and Integration division
(MPI).

QR operates passenger and freight rail services across Queensland, and is committed to providing a
customer-focused, safe and world-class rail service. It is also responsible for the maintenance of a 6600
kilometre rail network and the effective delivery of projects to improve the efficiency and increase the
capacity of its rail assets.
QR has a current project pipeline of over A$10 billion and this is expected to grow exponentially in the
build up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. As a result of this significant investment, the need to secure in-
house signalling and systems assurance resources is paramount to support the Major Projects and
Integration division (MPI). MPI is currently delivering Cross River Rail, which includes the
installation/commissioning of ETCS level 2 and the Fast Rail project from Brisbane to the Sunshine
Coast.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Analyzing customer requirements and developing detailed signalling system design specifications
Creating signalling system design drawings and schematics
Selecting and specifying signalling equipment and components
Developing and testing signalling system software
Performing system simulations and modelling to verify design performance
Identifying and resolving technical issues related to signalling systems
Participating in system integration and testing activities
To be successful in this role:
Strong knowledge of signalling systems design and industry standards and regulations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
A relevant engineering degree
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
