The Company
Our client is an Australian-owned food distribution company looking for a Warehouse Manager in their night shift for their Western Sydney site.
The Role
The role requires to oversee and coordinate all operational requirements relating to the Distribution Centre in the night shift including receiving, storage, picking and dispatching. Crucial focal point to this role is reporting on, monitoring and achieving various operational targets pertaining to overtime budgets, costs, accurate and timely picking/delivery rates, credits and other budgetary aims.
It is of paramount importance to ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to at all times including compliance to HACCP, OH&S and legal obligations.
Job Description
- Coordinate and oversee night shift warehouse operational activities.
- Monitor picking rates, levels of picking accuracy and keep credits to minimum KPI standards.
- Conceive and implement mid to long term initiatives to maximise operational efficiency. Instigate corrective action plans to facilitate required changes.
- Ensure budgets, costs are kept within agreed expectations. Monitor and report on all overtime ensuring budget objectives are maintained and exceeded.
- Ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to at all times.
- Understand and support HACCP, quality and food safety requirements within the standards and time-lines required. Ensure the site is ready for HACCP audits in compliance with agreed standards, hygiene and paperwork/reporting requirements.
- Oversee general housekeeping and hygiene of the site. Support and assist in implementing Occupational Health & Safety measures.
- Ensure staff understand and adhere to their respective job descriptions and procedures.
- Support staff evaluation, recruitment and training as required. Ensure all employees receive adequate induction and on-going training to meet safe work practices.
- Ensure all activities relating to the Company comply with relevant Acts, legal obligations and ethical standards.
- Liaise closely with Operations Manager to discuss and report on operational activities and the Transport Manager to discuss logistical requirements.
About You
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Warehouse Manager, or Operations Manager or similar roles.
- Complete understanding of warehouse and distribution functions
- Excellent user understanding of Manhattan WMS.
- Sound experience in people management skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with the team.
- Ability to fulfil customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Sharp, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
Salary and Work Rights
- $140K - $150K + Super depending on experience
- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only
