job detailsRandstad is currently working with a top-tier Defence contractor on a critical enterprise network modernisation program. They will lead the planning and designing of the communications, surveillance systems, and network services to support the critical air traffic control functions. As a Solution Architect, you will lead and provide guidance to a consortium of engineering delivery streams to ensure they meet all program requirements. You will be responsible for identifying, defining and shaping enhancements and new capabilities within, and adjacent to the ENMP network. This is a Melbourne-based, full-time, permanent position. Flexible work arrangements and an office/home office split are also available.
About the Role
- Ensure technical solutions comply with the client's requirements by communicating and managing solution design, implementation, integration, testing, and operations and security operations with all ENMP consortium team members.
- Principal technical interface for solution design, implementation, integration and testing, and operations.
- Manage the technical programme risk and establish a framework for risk-management solutions.
- Update Airservices Australia clients and their authorised representative on the technical status and address technical concerns
About you
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Systems, Senior Network Engineer, or architect role overseeing large-scale network communication systems with secure classifications, low latency, and high availability services
- Experience designing, implementing, or operating Air Traffic Management solutions
- Understanding of modern, high-availability Ethernet-based architectures and design approaches
- experience in transitioning large, complex communications systems
- Extensive knowledge of emerging fixed-wireless communications technologies, such as 5G and LEOSAT, as well as familiarity with Systems Engineering Standards and Architecture Reference Frameworks (i.e., SysML, MBSE, DoDAF)
