A top tier head contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with extensive earthworks experience to work across their major road projects here in Sydney.
One is a $500million road project along with the construction of 11 bridges and a grade separated interchange.

Daily duties include
- Maintaining our contractual schedule/program while keeping track of and reporting on project progress
- In order to guarantee that project targets are met, monitor and evaluate the financial results of each project activity, paying particular attention to project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls.
- Assist field operations on a daily basis with support, team supervision, and feedback to ensure high-quality project deliverables in accordance with company-set performance goals.
- Manage the day-to-day contract administration requirements and participate in the negotiation and oversight of supply and subcontractor agreements.
To succeed you will have
- Strong and demonstrated experience in project engineering and a working knowledge of project management
- Previously worked on major civil infrastructure projects such as - Roads, Bridges, Civil works etc..
- Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines
- Ability to provide active professional direction to supervise management of works contracts, monitor contractor progress and effectively negotiate variations, claims and other issues
- Ability to anticipate, identify and respond to project risks and issues. Including completing complex risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders concerns
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with relevant years of experience in the construction industry
