Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with preparation of month end reports for management, including attendance at the monthly results meeting with the leadership team;
- Perform key month end accounting tasks, including preparation and posting of month end journals, financial analysis, preparation of management commentary, and GL account reconciliations;
- Manage the fixed asset function, including working closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered within budget;
- Monitor daily cash forecasts, and manage the rolling cash forecast process;
- Assist with the management of external bank financing compliance requirements, including bank reporting, and debt funding lodgements;
- Prepare and manage key tax requirements for Australia and tax authorities, including the preparation and lodgement of monthly GST returns, assist with the compilation of key areas of the annual income tax return, prepare annual FBT returns for Australia;
- Assist with preparation of annual budget and interim forecasts;
- Ensure adherence to key finance governance controls and principles;
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must be technically strong and have excellent interpersonal skills. They also have:
- Tertiary degree level qualification specialising in Accounting or Finance;
- CPA / CA qualification;
- Advanced MS Excel skills;
- Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier chartered accounting environment;
- High attention to detail.
