Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Fundraising, the Fundraising Manager plays a key role in the Arts Centre Melbourne's Philanthropy Business Unit. You will provide specialist advice and recommendations that result in the strategic growth of their donor base. You will also be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Arts Centre Melbourne's direct marketing fundraising and membership campaigns, as well as provide analysis and insights into fundraising appeals.
Job Description
- You will have significant experience with strategic growth and the development of annual direct fundraising plans that result in an increase of donor numbers and income.
- The ability to manage growth targets, deadlines, and budgets across multi-channels (direct mail, telemarketing, SMS, and digital) direct marketing for fundraising purposes.
- Demonstrated success in effectively collaborating with senior stakeholders to co-design a successful fundraising proposition. Able to produce regular and consistent reporting on fundraising campaign activity for employees at an executive level.
- You are a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of techniques that are required for acquisition and retention of donors, which may include maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- You manage projects with ease, including the coordination of internal and external resources that deliver specified outcomes within agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills (including a high level of expertise in manipulating, interrogating, and presenting data using relational databases (CRM) and MS Excel).
The Successful Applicant
- Extensive experience and proven track record in fundraising and a passion for the performing arts.
- A relevant tertiary level qualification or body of knowledge and skills that is equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively in or leading a team and the ability to be a positive role model who is professional, collaborative, supportive, and inclusive within a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent emotional competence who can positively influence and work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders (staff, supporters, members, and suppliers).
