About Our Client

Arts Centre Melbourne is proud to house some of the world's biggest and smallest stages. From the exquisite sounds of strings rising gracefully from the heart of Hamer Hall to the crash and bang of headliner acts or legendary local musical theatre divas lighting up the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Arts Centre Melbourne has a range of performance spaces that offer a variety of 'together experiences' for their diverse audiences.

Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Fundraising, the Fundraising Manager plays a key role in the Arts Centre Melbourne's Philanthropy Business Unit. You will provide specialist advice and recommendations that result in the strategic growth of their donor base. You will also be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Arts Centre Melbourne's direct marketing fundraising and membership campaigns, as well as provide analysis and insights into fundraising appeals.

Job Description

- You will have significant experience with strategic growth and the development of annual direct fundraising plans that result in an increase of donor numbers and income.
- The ability to manage growth targets, deadlines, and budgets across multi-channels (direct mail, telemarketing, SMS, and digital) direct marketing for fundraising purposes.
- Demonstrated success in effectively collaborating with senior stakeholders to co-design a successful fundraising proposition. Able to produce regular and consistent reporting on fundraising campaign activity for employees at an executive level.
- You are a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of techniques that are required for acquisition and retention of donors, which may include maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- You manage projects with ease, including the coordination of internal and external resources that deliver specified outcomes within agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills (including a high level of expertise in manipulating, interrogating, and presenting data using relational databases (CRM) and MS Excel).

The Successful Applicant

- Extensive experience and proven track record in fundraising and a passion for the performing arts.
- A relevant tertiary level qualification or body of knowledge and skills that is equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively in or leading a team and the ability to be a positive role model who is professional, collaborative, supportive, and inclusive within a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent emotional competence who can positively influence and work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders (staff, supporters, members, and suppliers).

What's on Offer

Arts Centre Melbourne tell me that they are dedicated to living up to their employment promise and that their team members love working for them because it gives them the ability to work alongside committed, respected, and professional team members whilst also empowering the arts sector in Victoria.

- An attractive remuneration package with complimentary ACM tickets and discounts on food and beverage outlets, commuter benefits, and on-site parking.
- A supportive flexible hybrid work arrangements that gives you the ability to create a working lifestyle balance that suits you.
- Access to well-being activities and learning and development programs, and the Smiling Minds app. Free access to EAP which includes specific support to their First Nations team members via their I-CARE program and provide specific counsellors for members of the LGBTQIA+ and People of Colour.
