job detailsThis client is recognised as the worlds leading manufacturer and supplier of quality, reliable industrial sealing, fluid control and fluid monitoring solutions. They offer tailored solutions for the oil and gas, mining, petrochemical, infrastructure, aerospace and defence, utilities, pharmaceutical and chemical industries and are now seeking a technical Support Engineer to join their WA based team.

- Responding to customer technical queries. Solving customer problems and analysing customer service needs for communication to the Export & Project Engineering Manager and other departments.
- Providing internal technical support for sales staff and other departments.
- Managing the technical content of the Companys website.
- Maintaining system data and technical library with up to date technical information.
- Liaising with sales staff to maintain awareness of developments and changes to product range and specifications.
- Conducting laboratory and bench testing, application simulations and other similar projects for materials produced by the company and its competitors to provide application-engineering solutions to customers.
- Participate in the development of new products or product improvements through involvement in various R&D projects.
- Assist with product costing, estimation and tender/contract preparation and documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of the companys products, services and business systems.
You will need to be able to offer the following:
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a technical role or technical support function.
- Commercially astute with aptitude for working with computer systems and quickly developing product knowledge.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with people of all levels and different cultural backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong knowledge and commitment to safety.
- Intermediate IT skills - Microsoft Office Suite and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Ability to analyse and interpret information.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
