Being a great leader is critical to this role, approachable and supportive with an innate desire to develop and coach others. This is a one year fixed term position. As an Engineering Manager you'll be technically hands on designing, building, and leading the delivery of innovative solutions, as well as building and developing a high-performing team of T-shaped engineers who will drive the digital strategy for CBA.You'll lead the way in solving complex problems whilst influencing the business and senior technology stakeholdersBuild innovate integration solutions to enable digital experiences and allow a single view of the customer across multiple channels and digital platformsHire, develop, and inspire a small team of engineers to own this functionPromoting a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and innovation while contributing to the definition & governance of our standards and best practicesContribute to growing the next generation of talent through our grad and intern Academy

We'd love to hear from Engineering Managers whoHave experience in managing and maintaining large-scale web applications and distributed systemsHave designed and lead large scale cloud based migrations and implementations of an Identity verification and proofing solutions leveraging vendor platforms such as Daon, OCR Labs, or similarHave led agile integrations in large, complex, customer-facing environmentsAre adept at showing a high level of emotional intelligence when supporting teams and influencing business leaders.Are comfortable establishing new ways of working and successfully advocating for new technology approaches, especially in a digital environmentAre an expert in Agile ways of working - managing an agile roadmap aligned to a multi-year strategic direction, grooming backlogs, decomposing epics into concrete multi-sprint deliverables, working with changing priorities, contributing to agile ceremonies, and continually improving processes to focus on doing more of the important things very well

Tech Stack

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Back-end runtime: C# .NET Core, Java, Node.js, Golang Front-end: ReactJS, AngularData: Enterprise experience in setting up and performance tuning SQL database and NoSQL database (e.g., PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB)Modern Application Design Patterns: REST API services , Containers services , Serverless application Understanding of different hosting pattern covering IaaS (Infrastructure as a service), CaaS (Container as a Services), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a service) Cloud hosting platforms: AWS cloud - desirable , Microsoft Azure , Google Cloud Platform
