Job Description
- Develop and build relationships with Philanthropic partners, focusing on Major Donors and Private Ancillary Funds (PAF's), to secure independent income to support Berry Street's work in line with fundraising targets.
- Create timely, accurate and compelling written applications for support as well as comprehensive reporting documentation.
- Monitor and analyse the current supporter sources to identify potential high value donors and develop relationships to maximise their engagement.
- Develop a 'presence' within the philanthropic sector by representing Berry Street at key events and initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in major gift fundraising (>$50,000) or equivalent sales and relationship management experience.
- Demonstrated relationship building and relationship management skills, including the ability to inspire supporters, and the ability to identify, initiate and sustain new relationships, work collaboratively, and promote cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to research, develop and write high-level funding proposals, communications and reports.
- Proficiency with donor/customer databases for analysis and reporting.
- Strong customer-centric approach and experience in developing and implementing communication and donor plans for key customers/supporters.
- A relevant Bachelor degree, tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum five years' experience in fundraising (philanthropy) or a sales/relationship management with income targets.
- A WWCC (or be willing to obtain)
- Current drivers license
- Criminal Records Check (or be willing to obtain)
