We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced International Freight
Forwarder to be based in Melbourne. This opportunity has become available as we grow our
team to support continued business growth. The primary role of this position is to support the
day-to-day requirements of our operations particularly effectively and efficiently in relation
to the administration duties for freight forwarding and transport, in a manner that is consistent
with Sadleirs values.
Key Duties
- Collect and process all forwarding related documentation and arrange to coordinate
- shipment movements
- Assist with monitoring and tracking all consignments and keep all relevant
- stakeholders informed of progress and ensuring the prompt and timely dispatch of all
- consignments
- Liaise efficiently and effectively with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to
- facilitate professional and positive relationships
- Maintain the customer relationship management for new accounts gained
- Collate and process all related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner and
- ensure all relevant company data bases are maintained accurately and up to date
- Assist with providing quotations to clients, in regard to worldwide shipments
- Assist with liaising with overseas agents regarding rates and schedules
- Assist with liaising with airlines & shipping lines for rates, schedules and service
- parameters
- Process and facilitate invoicing to clients
- Job file completion including collating, organising and scanning of all relevant
- documents
- Actively participate as a member of the team to ensure service levels are achieved and
- communication is strong
- NO WORK FROM HOME- Hours can suits candidate eg start earlier or later etc

Qualifications/ Experience Required
- You must have 5 years + experience in an International Freight Forwarder role
- You must have logistics and international freight forwarding experience
- IATA DG Qualified
- Current and valid Drivers Licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage workloads
- Ability to operate within a team and with autonomy
- Strong customer service skills
- Developed oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving capability
- Personal accountability, issue ownership and resolution
