job detailsRandstad are seeking applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Civil Estimator within a rapidly growing civil contracting business in the Fleurieu Peninsula region of SA.
About the role
Day to day duties will include principle estimating, negotiation with customers, supplier and subcontractors, site inspections and networking within the industry.
Duties
- Quoting and tender research
- Review tender documents and identify project risks
- Quantity take-offs
- Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Tender preparation and submission inclusive of detailed Construction Methodology.
- Providing detailed documentation and a concise handover to Project Managers.
- Contract administration which includes analysis on type of contract
- Analysis and review of project results
- All project related database management and reporting.
Skill and experience
- Degree Engineering Civil/Construction
- Strong background / experience in estimating within Civil Construction specifically roads, storm water, utilities, concrete & bulk earthworks
- Proven track record of successful tender bids
- Experience with the following software or similar - Benchmark estimating, MS Office, Corecon, MS Project
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
