Job Description

- Grow revenue and profitability by leading the development, wider business engagement and sign off of the Annual Marcomms Strategy & Campaign for the brand
- Provide input to the Head of Marketing (HOM), and the Commercial/Product teams to set the customer (visitor) targets to be achieved on an annual basis
- Work in collaboration with other functions or team members such as the Commercial Director and Product Manager to develop deep industry understanding to drive better strategy and execution
- Lead the marcomms strategy development and execution of relevant visitor and exhibitor communication and marketing materials
- Make the commercial case for the annual setting of the Marketing Budget
- Responsible for the development of show creative ensuring it is in line with the brand and reflects values of the product
- Develop and manage relationships with external agencies and key stakeholders
- Lead relevant post show analysis and using insights and learnings from show completion build brand strategy for following year
- Working with the HOM, position the exhibition for future growth by quantifying leading market segments, categorising market penetration, retention, growth trends, industry issues and purchase levers - develop buyer personas
- Lead the implementation and delivery of campaign elements including creative, media, print and mail houses
- Brief and manage all external agencies required to execute roles to deliver the show campaigns - e.g. PR
- Effectively coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve required results
- Drive the Performance and Development Review process with your employees including setting of Key Performance Indicators, continual assessment of performance against KPIs through monthly and quarterly check-ins etc.

The Successful Applicant

* 3-5 years Business to Business Marketing or event management marketing experience
* Minimum of 2 years People Management experience
* Outstanding campaign planning and execution capability
* Strong commercial track record in delivery of outstanding business performance results
* Strong stakeholder management experience and expertise
* Degree in marketing or related commercial discipline
* Strong data and insights experience - ability to report on individual campaign aspects on an ongoing basis
* Experienced and comfortable using Campaign Monitor, Google Analytics and Word Press
* Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Strong copywriting skills - for marketing collateral, website etc.
* Budget management - forecasting and regular reporting including monthly reconciliation reports
* Thrives working in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure
* Advanced skills and knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Strong digital marketing planning, executing and reporting skills e.g. SEM, Adwords, social media and building and creating EDMs (Electronic Direct Mail) using campaign monitor template
* Experience in developing and driving acquisition and retention campaigns
