The Finance Business partners role is to drive the sales teams financial planning and analysis function.
This globally listed organisation is growing and made a recent acquisition. The responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner include the following:
- Responsible for business partnering with Business Line Managers and Management Team
- Understand business/economic/environmental drivers of Actual results versus Budget and Forecasts and ensure timely reporting (actuals, forecasts and targets).
- Provide support around analysis, advice and tools to optimise performance.
- Providing insight to help the business make informed business decisions to ensure the profitable, sustainable growth of the Business Lines and Sales Area overall.
- Provide significant financial and commercial input into strategic plans for the Business Lines within Sales Area
- Liaise with the shared service operation to ensure P&L makes sense (profit margin and cost centres)
The successful Finance Business Partner should have the following experience and skills:
- Extensive management accounting / business control experience (min 5 years).
- Financial modelling experience
- Analytical skills and capability for strategic and innovative thinking (understanding the big picture
- High level of verbal and written communication skills including the ability to develop and critique business cases
- Commercially astute with demonstrated business acumen
- Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA), or qualified by experience
