Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electric Vehicle Charging and Electric Transportation Program/Project Manager to head up a newly formed team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various programs and projects related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure and transportation electrification. Your work will contribute to the development and implementation of the Departments transportation electrification plan.

This position offers a 6-month rolling contract, with the project expected to last until 2026.

Requirements of this role include:

- Manage Electric Vehicle Charging and Electric Transportation related Programs and Projects.
- Assist with the development of the Department's transportation electrification plan and project application submittals to utility and government agencies.
- Provide accurate workflow forecasting six months in advance based on the Department's transportation electrification planning process.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports, including project summaries, work performed, budget information, project timelines, and analysis of energy use, utility costs, and emissions reduction.
- Register and report on Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Credits, including electric vehicle charging station information and energy consumption data.
- Oversee and coordinate all phases of bid/award through project close-out and completion.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure adherence to the approved project scope.
- Plan, organize, and prepare reports to upper management regarding the status and progress of EV-related projects.
- Coordinate with public agencies and stakeholders to fulfill federal and state requirements and ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor project budgets on a monthly basis and ensure accurate reflection of project status or progress.
- Resolve complex planning, design, and project-related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- Assist the project team with contract management and planning.
- Implement project or program policy guidelines and procedures, suggest improvements, and implement approved changes.
- Evaluate new developments and strategies affecting program objectives and results.

The successful candidate will:

- Hold relevant qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Demonstrate experience in the construction and installation of public or commercial electric vehicle charging stations.
- Exhibit proven experience in managing government or commercial projects, with full responsibility for coordinating complex activities from project inception, planning, design and development, and close-out.
- Display an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Possess a working knowledge of electric vehicles, Vehicle-to-Grid systems, and related technology preferred.
- Have a current Open Class C Driver's Licence (Queensland) or equivalent.
- Be able to pass a criminal history check prior to appointment.
- Must have current Australian working rights for the duration of the contract.

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
