Job Description
As the Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with New Zealand Accounting Standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for business planning.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance department.
- Stay updated on changes in New Zealand Accounting Standards and ensure the organisation's financial practices align with the latest regulations.
- Prepare and coordinate financial audits as needed.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.).
- Proven experience working with New Zealand Accounting Standards.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial ERP's and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
