- The builder has a well earned reputation for delivering high quality projects through their client-focused attitude.
- They have a strong pipeline of future work in 2023 and are looking for a detail focused and commercially astute Assistant Project Manager to add to their existing team based on the North Shore.
- They offer tailored service to their clients and have a professional and agile culture, with a close-knit family-feel team and an impressive portfolio of existing clients that you will have the opportunity to work with.
- Hours of work are 7am-4pm 5 days a week so there is no weekend work, and you will have the option of 'Flexible Fridays', where you can work from home if you prefer.
- The opportunity would suit a Fit Out Project Manager that would like an improved work-life balance, or an ambitious Contract Administrator/Project Engineer looking for promotion to the next step in their career.
- The company operates under an accredited integrated management system for OH&S, Environments and Quality,

Responsibilities:

- Involved early on in the delivery process, you will be responsible for client interaction whilst working closely with your team to meet the clients expectations.
- You will be responsible for monitoring project financials and drive programmes to ensure that projects are completed to clients satisfaction.
- You'll be responsible for 2-3 refurbishment projects at various stages of the program
- Manage a team and coordinate works with your Site Managers on site, to ensure timely project delivery and a quality product is produced. You'll be maintaining and building new client relationships to ensure repeat business, reporting to the Directors.

What you'll need:

- Minimum 4 years experience as a post-graduate Contract Administrator/Project Engineer/Project Manager.
- Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering.
- Ideally experience working on refurbishment projects $1m+, preferably in the government sector, however other commercial fit out experience will also be considered.
- Superior ability to plan, manage and deliver projects to a high standard
- Transferable negotiation and decision-making abilities
- Provide good technical knowledge and commercial awareness to your project team
- Ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders
- Proven Management experience with excellent technical refurbishment knowledge
- Extensive knowledge in reading and interpreting technical drawings and building permits
- Strong communication skills and ability build rapport quickly
- If you only have residential construction experience, unfortunately you will not be the right fit for this position as this is a commercial refurbishment opportunity.
