As a Data Science Manager within the Decision Science Home Buying Modelling Team, you will assist in the development and management of models supporting the Home Buying Business. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of data science and statistical modelling professionals to navigate the business and deliver high quality modelling outcomes within the Home Loan space.
You will work closely with key stakeholders, and cross-functional product teams within Finance and Group to ensure regulatory and business insights are accurate, and are in alignment to the strategic direction of the business. You will come with a strong business acumen along with demonstrable experience in building commercial, statistical, predictive and financial models in pricing and actuarial statistics.
I am seeking people who are:
- Passionate about building market leading commercial, statistical, financial modelling assets that utilises state of the art data science and pricing techniques!
- Excited about tackling new challenging business problems in Data Science
- Adept with using a combination of commercial and technical Data Science models to find unique solutions in adding strategic value to the business.
- Collaborative in nature to work with product teams, curious enough to solve data problems and courageous in positively influencing senior stakeholders
- Natural leaders that enjoy mentoring people within a team and want to help foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes development and growth
- Constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex data science problems
As well as hearing from people who:
- Are able to develop applications and build behavioural models and operational models across credit risk, pricing, marketing and operations
- Can collaborate with key business areas, including Product and Pricing, Line 1 risk and Credit risk to provide implementable financial modelling/analytical solutions and insights to drive profitable growth and productivity.
- Are experienced in applying high complexity data science techniques to large and unstructured data within a corporate environment
- Have a natural talent to educate, communicate and positively influence a diverse and large group of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Tech skills:
- Demonstrable experience in Pricing or Actuarial Science or Statistics and financial modelling
- Build financial and commercial Data Science models using Python and R
- Expertise in financial, statistical and commercial models in Pricing and Credit Risk
