Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor provides leadership to the team responsible for executing the electrical equipment maintenance plan on site. This includes providing a lead technical resource for problem resolution, maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance, minimising the impact of unscheduled works, and reviewing and changing maintenance actions to achieve this where necessary.
About the role:
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to electrical trades
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards
- Work and assist planning personnel to maximise the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimise the impact of unscheduled maintenance
- Ensure electrical contractors working on site are appropriately trained and compliant with site electrical safety and equipment policies, including critical and statutory training
- Work closely with the Superintendent in managing aspects of the maintenance budget and costs
- Producing, reviewing, and auditing standard maintenance procedures
- Assist in providing systems for improving process and equipment reliability
- Assist in providing training systems for the trade group. This will also involve ensuring all critical and statutory training is kept up to date.
- Where necessary, assist other groups to comply with mechanical standards and legislation by acting as a technical resource.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Significant experience in electrical trade within a heavy industrial or minerals processing environment
- Proven experience assessing equipment failures
- Industrial processing experience with a continuous operation
- Project and time management experience
- HV/LV supply and reticulation system experience and knowledge
- Scope designs out projects for equipment improvements
- HV switching operations
- Experience in equipment failure analysis and root cause analysis
- Asset management software packages such as SAP
