As a key player in the organisation, you'll be at the forefront of critical financial functions, including planning, budgeting/forecasting, analysis, financial reporting, grant audits, tender applications, financial risk management, and ensuring finance processes are not only effective but efficient.
Job Description
- Provide key financial support to Services Directors, Program Managers and Senior Leadership Teams through insightful analysis, technical knowledge, that aligns with Organisational Strategy,
- Lead the budget and forecasting work-stream for Regional Services.
- Manage the analysis of monthly performance (financial and non-financial) result against budgets and report / communicate on variances, insights, and issues
- Actively mitigate risk ensuring remediation plans are developed that reduces the impact on the P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Actively identify opportunities to drive increased revenue, cost reductions and efficiencies.
- Lead grant acquittal compliance for Regional Services including production of tender templates, responses to external audit observations as per timelines.
- Present well-reasoned recommendations to Regional Services to support all business cases.
- Actively drive and build the financial capability of Regional Staff at all levels.
- Work with the wider Finance team to ensure processes are effective and efficient.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards/regulations and accounting policies & practices
- Take ownership of personal development
- Coach, mentor and develop direct reports in order to achieve both financial and non-financial outcomes.
- Support the Manager Finance Business Partner - Services on project work and other ad-hoc activities as required
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in a finance leadership role.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Familiarity with non-profit financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
