This means working with live financial systems: so, there can be minimal interruption to products and services quite a technical task when it comes to it.
Such a vital position requires Microsoft T-SQL experience, knowledge of Windows Server configuration, basic scripting, an understanding of monitoring technologies such as Grafana, PagerDuty, and the ELK stack, with knowledge of Azure DevOps advantageous.
But more than mere technical skill is the need for collaboration, as working as a team is key to continuous improvement.
You will be managing both internal and external stakeholders, whilst working alongside your innovative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Deployment of configuration changes and development releases, and support thereof
Providing a service to the software development teams (The product that this team supports is Banking and Registration)
Handling Escalations and System Support
Managing Software Deployments-Facilitating Deployment
Perform Testing
Investigating and resolving or escalating events raised-Incident Management
Capacity Management
What do you need to apply:
Microsoft SQL essential. Minimum of 2 years of SQL experience, and specifically T-SQL
Server hardware and configuration (Windows server)
Monitoring server health and activity
IIS
Basic PowerShell scripting or other scripting tools
Monitoring technologies such as SCOM, Graphite, ELK
Full working rights
Sense of humour
Impeccable communication skills
