About Our ClientOur client is a junior mining & manufacturing company with a small sales/operations office in Perth, as well as R&D offices based in Asia and the UK. The business is currently running pilot projects for their leading edge products which will support major industries with their goals of reducing their carbon footprint.
Job Description
* Managing month-end and consolidation accounting
* Preparation of all tax requirements (BAS, FBT etc) for completion by company's tax agents
* Cash management/forecasting
* Payroll and payroll tax lodgements
* Management reporting
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
* Producing financial accounts for audit
* Responding to queries for tax and audit purposes
* Managing bank accounts (Australia and overseas)
* Dealing with ad-hoc queries from customers, vendors and internal company departments
* Management of 1 accountant
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have experience in Audit with the big 4 or mid-tier firms, or have a strong track record as a Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager/Financial Controller in a junior ASX listed companies. Given the size of the company in it's current state, this role will be hands-on, so this person needs to be comfortable with getting into the detail alongside the Accountant that reports into this role. This person will also eventually take over the company secretary responsibilities but previous experience in CoSec is not required.
Availability to start in January is highly regarded, but the client is also fine to wait 4 weeks notice for the right candidate.
