Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, responsibilities include:
- Manage accounts inbox ensuring that all emails are dealt with in a timely manner and customer service standards are maintained at the highest level.
- Banking is completed each day and reconciled to ensure cash levels are accurate for decision makers.
- Ensure accounts payable invoices are approved by the relevant manager and then coded correctly in a timely manner so that monthly managements reports reflect true expenses.
- Send account statements and regular reminder to customers, actively managing overdue accounts, work with sales team for solutions and provide debtor report for the Finance Manager on a weekly basis
- Manage corporate card receipts and reconcile the accounts via system.
- Assist the accountant in preparing information for annual compliance work and associated audit.
- Assist the accountant in preparing information required for tax compliance such as BAS, Income, FBT and transfer pricing.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and the associated upload to the Group consolidation system.
- Provide support to the Accountant & Finance Manager with the preparation of ad-hoc reporting to assist in strategic decision making.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate has an enthusiasm to learn and genuine desire to be an accountant in the future. They are a team player and enjoy working in a fun environment, as well as having a love for coffee! They also have:
- Tertiary degree in accounting or finance
- 1 year in a finance or accounts role highly regarded
- Progress towards becoming a qualified CA/CPA or desire to begin
- Previously worked in the hospitality industry desirable
- Exposure to an ERP or accounting software previously
