Job Description
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts officer to their finance team. This person will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the organisation by managing the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires strong analytic skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide support to the Assistant Manager on a daily basis.
- Organise the staff in respect of processing data.
- Ensure that internal controls are adequate and monitored.
- Liaise with buyers in relation to legal actions, scheme of arrangements and stop credit.
- Prepare journal adjustments prior to processing (Journals & Credit Notes).
- Attend Board and Committee meetings including the taking of minutes.
- To exercise prudent initiatives where necessary in daily operations
The Successful Applicant
In order to be successful for this position, you will have:
- Clear communication skills
- Experience or knowledge surrounding General Ledger entries
- General Accounts-All-Rounder knowledge
- Quick learner and can adapt to different environments and situations
- Someone looking to grow with the business and progress internally in future
Relevant qualifications are desirable, however someone who has done business studies with economics/accounting would be suitable for a role like this.
