Based in Perth CBD with some travel to site, this mining organisation is supported by a team of experienced and dedicated procurement and contract specialists.

They are currently looking for a hands on Senior Contract Specialist to join their growing team as they work on a range of high value projects.

Your new role will involve:

- Negotiating and managing contracts for high value agreements with diverse stakeholders, ensuring mutually beneficial commercial outcomes and suggesting forward thinking cost alternatives where appropriate
- Acting as the point of contact for all contract related queries from subcontractors and all other external stakeholders
- Providing direction to internal stakeholders on contract terms and interpretation
- Ensuring contractual obligations are met so that work is completed on time and according to budget
- Drafting and administering subcontracts. Ensuring alignment with project risk and commercial requirements
- Providing advice on contract related queries from external and internal stakeholders and ensuring support is provided where required for ongoing contract administration within the business

The successful candidate will have:

- Prior contracts management experience from a capital projects environment, construction or earthworks.
- Experience with EPC contracts.
- Claims and dispute resolution experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of contract law and estimating principles.
- You will be a confident negotiator, with demonstrable experience in achieving holistic, mutually beneficial commercial outcomes for your business and your customers
- Tertiary qualifications (in conjunction with relevant experience) in commercial, law, construction, engineering or similar will be highly regarded
